Datepositive.net has upgraded to the latest version of software and the site now has some great features.
The site is the UK’s largest online dating for people with STDs. It is also the UK’s largest HIV dating website and Herpes dating website.
We have also redesigned the homepage to give it a fresh, new look and added our Twitter and Facebook widgets.
In the bottom right we have included leaflets available for download. So if you are a healthcare worker, counsellor, doctor, or just want to help promote the site and let other people become aware, please download the leaflet and poster pack.
Despite increases in inflation and VAT our site prices remain the same. Premium membership is very inexpensive, with prices noted on the homepage.
Enjoy the new site and please send through any feedback you may have.
www.datepositive.net wishes everyone a very happy new year.

The increase in HIV amongst women was explored in women over 50 on Radio 4′s Women’s Hour last Monday.
The programme highlighted some big and important issues, such as lack familiarity with symptoms, not knowing you’ve been infected by a partner or former partner (and struggling with the consequental sense of betrayal), and financial security.
The number of women over 50 with HIV is increasing, and the health and financial implications are significant and a concern in many countries.
It’s very worthwhile taking time to listen to the programme which makes an interesting and moving discussion. As well, it prompts people – either female or male – to seriously consider seeing a financial planner to review budgets and pensiion provisions.
The programme can be found here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00vkpk8.
If you have HIV or Herpes and are looking for an HIV dating or Herpes dating website, then consider using datepositive.net, the UK’s first STD dating website.
Q. What happens if I have an outbreak when I am pregnant?
Can having herpes affect my baby before it is born? What if I have an outbreak when I am due to deliver? - A datepositive.net member
A. A baby can pick up herpes on vaginal delivery, and if there is an outbreak in late pregnancy this may be an indication for Caesarian birth.
Otherwise herpes in pregnancy is not a problem for the baby. Medication maybe given if the outbreak is severe and after the first three months, but this would only be used in extreme cases. - Dr Laurence Gerlis
We’re going to be working on a new site in coming months, with new features.
It will have a fresh design and additional features including video profiles.
The icons will be redesigned too and the whole site will have a more contemporary design.
